Most new traders start out by trading mini-lots so these 40 pip profit targets would yield $40 instead of $400. If you start trading with a balance of over $10,000, you can then choose to trade full $10 lots. Anyone trading with less than $10,000 should consider trading a mini-lot account. Also, don't let the term "mini-lot" fool you. You can make a lot of money winning $40 trades. You can also lose a lot of money as well and that's why Avi's money management techniques are as important, if not more, as picking the trade setups themselves.
